How quickly will you reply?
Within 24 hours, from one of the hosts rather than an assistant or an auto-reply. We’re on Pacific Time. If you haven’t heard from us by then, check your spam folder first — email does occasionally wander — and then try again.
Is it better to email you or use the form?
Either — both land in the same inbox. The form is quickest for most things: it asks what your note is about, so the right host answers first time. Email stay.stargazer@gmail.com when you have photos or attachments to send, or simply prefer it.
Can I ask for a quote through this form?
You can, but the Book Direct request is quicker: it asks for your dates, party size and pets up front, so our first reply can be the quote itself — nightly rate, cleaning fee and taxes, with no platform fee on top.
Can we photograph or film at the house?
Often, yes — the house has hosted photo, video and brand shoots. Production and event use is arranged separately from overnight stays and approved case by case; depending on the scope it may need a San Bernardino County film permit and proof of insurance. Send the dates, hours, crew and vehicle count and a line about what you’re shooting, and we’ll tell you what’s possible.
Where exactly is the house?
In Landers, California — five private acres in the high desert north of Joshua Tree, a short drive from the national park, Pioneertown and the Integratron. We share the exact address with your booking confirmation. The last 0.3 mile is a maintained dirt road that regular cars handle fine; just take it slowly.
What are the basics — guests, minimum stay, times?
Up to seven overnight guests (the limit on our county permit), a two-night minimum, check-in from 4:00 PM and check-out by 11:00 AM. Pets are welcome with prior approval, the container pool is unheated, and outdoor quiet hours are 9 PM to 8 AM. The full list lives on the Book Direct page.
